Dr. Mike Ryan, executive director of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) emergencies programme, said Friday that although a COVID-19 vaccine has been approved in a number of countries, the next three to six months “are going to be tough” as vaccines aren’t available at a level that could end the pandemic.
