Coronavirus: WHO official says next few months ‘are going to be tough’ despite vaccine approval

Dr. Mike Ryan, executive director of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) emergencies programme, said Friday that although a COVID-19 vaccine has been approved in a number of countries, the next three to six months “are going to be tough” as vaccines aren’t available at a level that could end the pandemic.
