Coronavirus: Toronto’s public health official says reported cases only ‘tip of the iceberg’

Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health Dr. Eileen de Villa said on Wednesday the number of cases reported by public health is only the “tip of the iceberg” as the city reported 850 new cases of COVID-19, citing a vast majority of asymptomatic patients and people who don’t seek testing. She urged people to reduce their contacts and gatherings during the holiday season.
