A recent study by the B.C. Nurse's Union and the UBC School of Nursing found that 40 percent of the province's nurses are struggling with severe depression and over 60 percent are showing signs of burnout as result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Those statistics have spurred on a sizable donation from the province's nurses in order to help fund mental health support programs.
