A pedestrian was taken to hospital Tuesday after she was struck by a car in Cobourg.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. at Division and Spencer streets.
Police say a vehicle was heading west on Spencer Street when the woman was struck at Division Street.
Her injuries are not known but are not considered life-threatening.
The driver of the vehicle was charged with fail to yield to pedestrian under the Highway Traffic Act.
Police said the setting sun likely played a factor in the collision and they remind motorists to always make sure the roadway is clear.
