The financial situation at ICBC has been famously described as a ‘dumpster fire’.
Since taking power the NDP government launched a string of major, and not-always popular reforms of ICBC.
The NDP says if they’re re-elected those reforms will continue, while the BC Liberals are instead promising to end ICBC’s monopoly and open up the insurance market to more competition.
