Hurricane Delta to make landfall, nears Texas and Louisiana

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards asked residents in his state who are in the path of Hurricane Delta to shelter in place as the storm nears landfall. Evacuation orders caused traffic mayhem in parts of Louisiana as residents rushed to flee storm-prone areas on Oct. 8, ahead of Hurricane Delta’s expected landfall. Plus, South Padre Island, Texas, braced for coastal flooding as the category three hurricane neared landfall on Friday, according to reports.
