NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh responded to the Liberal government’s throne speech on Wednesday, telling Global’s Mercedes Stephenson that his party would be willing to support Prime Minister Justin Trudeau if potential cuts to COVID-19 assistance to families who may be unable to return to work do not happen. He added that he also would like to see the government establish permanent paid sick leave as well.
