Russian President Vladimir Putin told the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday it was “essential” to strengthen the World Health Organization’s (WHO) capability in order to coordinate the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and proposed a high-level conference “for countries interested in cooperation in the development of anti-coronavirus vaccines.”
