Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister François-Philippe Champagne said Monday that Canada will use the “same policy” in hitting back against a new round of U.S. aluminum tariffs as it did following the last round of punitive measures, with its own set of “dollar-for-dollar counter tariffs.” He said Canadian aluminum is “no threat” to U.S. national security.
