Canada-wide protests held calling for defunding of police

August 29, 2020

Rallies were held in cities across Canada Saturday calling for local officials to defund police services and invest in social services. CUTA move many Canadians support. According to a recent poll conducted on behalf of Global News, 51 per cent of people surveyed support the idea of defunding police and redirecting that cash to other local government services. Morganne Campbell has more on the movement and what it means for Canadians.
