In his speech to the Democratic National Convention on Thursday, Sen. Cory Booker evoked his late grandfather who he said would be “so proud” of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris. Booker called for a rise in the minimum wage and said his grandfather would tell Americans to “get to work.”
