The fire at the facility on Paddock Wood broke out around 9 a.m. Peterborough Fire Services used three pump crews and its aerial pump to battle the blaze.

Damage is pegged at $300,000. The cause of the fire is accidental discarding of smoking materials.

The CMHA says some of its crisis phone line services have resumed at a reduced capacity.

All staff and clients that were in the building at the time of the fire were able to safely evacuate and clients are being housed at a nearby motel.

As a result of the fire, several programs based out of the building have been temporarily halted. This includes the Four County Crisis Line.
