The U.S. recorded more than 25,000 deaths in July, according to a Reuters tally, with five states, including Florida, reporting record increases in the number of deaths on July 31. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is forecasting between 168,000 and 182,000 deaths by August 22. The CDC also released a study finding COVID-19 spread to nearly half of staff and campers at an overnight camp in Georgia a week-and-a-half ago.
