Mississippi governor Tate Reeves signed a bill into law on Tuesday, passed by the state legislature, to remove the current flag design, which features the Confederate battle emblem. The state was the last in the U.S. to have the symbol on its flag and will now see a new flag, which cannot feature the emblem, voted on in November.
