The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday struck down a Louisiana law regulating abortion clinics, saying it violates federal protections, in the first big abortion rights case during the Trump presidency. Chief Justice John Roberts joined with the court's Liberal wing in a 5-4 decision, but did not join the majority opinion, instead writing that his decision was based on a similar Texas statute struck down in 2016.
