Local non-profit groups and registered charities will receive up to $31,000 in funding if they hire summer students. Non-profit groups can apply to receive a $5,000 wage subsidy per student they hire, up to five students, and hiring one student will see them receive an additional $6,000, said Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister.
