Coronavirus outbreak: Special one-time payment for seniors to come first week of July

Speaking to reporters outside Rideau Cottage in Ottawa on Thursday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the special one-time COVID-19 aid payment for seniors will go out the week of July 6th. More than six-million people who receive old-age security benefits will get a 300-dollar payment, and there is an additional 200 dollars for the 2.2-million seniors who also receive the guaranteed income supplement.
