Trump levels sweeping diplomatic penalties against China

U.S. President Donald Trump unveiled massive diplomatic penalties against China on Friday, accusing them of breaking their word on Hong Kong, covering up the true extent of the dangers posed by COVID-19, intellectual property theft, and a host of other accusations. Speaking outside the White House on Friday, President Trump said he will suspend entry of certain foreign nationals from China who have been identified as potential “security risks.” Trump also called on the State Department to raise the travel advisory for Hong Kong to reflect an “increased danger of surveillance” from China’s “security apparatus.”
