Coronavirus outbreak: Ontario’s top doctor says province not yet out of ‘first wave’ of COVID-19 cases

Asked if Ontario is concerned about a second wave of COVID-19 cases, the province’s chief medical officer of health Dr. David Williams said the province is not yet out of the so-called “first wave” of COVID-19, adding that increased testing would not necessarily stop a second wave of the virus. Ontario’s associate chief medical officer of health Dr. Barbara Yaffe added that they’re encouraging anyone who has symptoms to get tested.
