Dr. Tom Wong, Chief Medical Officer of Public Health for Indigenous Services Canada, told reporters on Thursday that as of the previous day, there had been a total of 185 confirmed cases of COVID-19 among people living on First Nations reserves. 63 per cent have recovered, Dr. Wong added, explaining that these numbers do not count Indigenous Canadians as a whole.
