Trudeau says COVID-19 has kept China from providing consular visits to Michael Kovrig, Michael Spavor

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Thursday that Canadians Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig, both who have been detained for 500 days, had not received consular service recently due to COVID-19 restrictions in China. He said they’ve been assured the two are in an area not “particularly affected” by the coronavirus, however they are still pushing for more details and better access.
