Speaking to reporters in Toronto on Wednesday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford defended his government’s handling of the province’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ford said he had called for more testing, and that COVID-19 testing has since ramped up in the province compared to the onset of the outbreak, but added that he relies on the expertise and “has confidence” in health officials.
