Ontario’s associate chief medical officer of health Dr. Barbara Yaffe on Friday said that as of 4 p.m. ET on April 16, the province had reported 564 new cases of COVID-19, bringing Ontario’s total to 9,525 confirmed cases. The death toll has risen to 478 as 55 additional deaths due to the virus have been reported.
