Pope Francis called on people around the world to banish “self-centredness” and embrace global solidarity to fight the COVID-19 pandemic in his Easter Sunday address. He also said that given the current circumstances, international sanctions should be relaxed so that countries impacted can provide adequate support for their citizens.
