Coronavirus outbreak: Doug Ford says COVID-19 testing numbers are ‘unacceptable’

Ontario Premier Doug Ford on Wednesday said the number of COVID-19 tests carried out in the province since the beginning of the pandemic has been “unacceptable.” Ford acknowledged that health officials were plagued by a lack of reagent, a substance used to conduct labratory tests, and other problems that resulted in a testing backlog. But, he said those issues are now resolved and that the province was going to “get a move on it.”
