Coronavirus: Mass producing laser-cut disposable face shields

Clear plastic shields shaped like welders’ masks offer an added layer of protection for health care workers on the front lines of this pandemic. Hot Pop Factory, a Toronto design agency heard the government’s plea for manufacturers to retool production lines to manufacture PPE and has combined low-cost materials with high-speed manufacturing to help meet the need.
