Coronavirus outbreak: Newfoundland health official says province needs to continue physical distancing during upcoming Easter holiday

During a provincial COVID-19 update on Sunday, Newfoundland and Labrador’s minister of health John Haggie discussed how the outbreak in the province would affect upcoming holidays like Easter, which often involves large religious services and family gatherings, saying that the public should limit interactions and “assume that the person standing next to you has COVID-19” in order to practice proper physical distancing.
