Coronavirus outbreak: Israeli police step up COVID-19 enforcement among ultra-Orthodox Jews

Israeli police stepped up their presence and enforced movement restrictions in Jewish ultra-Orthodox neighbourhoods on Monday to help halt the spread of the novel coronavirus, Israeli police said. In the Jerusalem neighbourhood of Mea Shearim, police ordered people to stay at home, wrote tickets, and used stun grenades to disperse the crowds, police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld said.
