A fire on Thursday destroyed the cab of an Alnwick/Haldimand fire rescue truck which was parked inside the Grafton-area fire hall. While the cause of the fire is unknown, damage is estimated at at least $130,000. The fire was discovered by Fire Chief Mike Diminie, who had stopped by the empty station to drop off cleaning and disinfecting supplies. The fire is believed to have started in the cab of a truck. It's unknown how much equipment was damaged in the blaze.
