Enforcing social distancing during the coronavirus crisis

The City of Vancouver and Park Board have announced a string of new closures of outdoor recreation facilities. The closure applies to skate parks, sports fields and courts, and even the logs to sit on at the city’s beaches.
The move is designed to further reinforce the message of social distancing, which hasn’t been observed as well as public health officials had hoped.
