Talking to reporters during a U.S. federal government coronavirus task force update on Tuesday in Washington, Dr. Anthony Fauci from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) said that what is happening as far as the increasing number of COVID-19 cases is not a surprise “…because that’s how these kinds of outbreaks go.”
He added that authorities continue to see more confirmed and suspected cases in the U.S. “with 700 cases and 27 deaths by Tuesday afternoon – and this number will increase.”
