Anger and violence rising on Via Rail’s Western Canadian trains
Description
March 9, 2020
Travelling by train is, in some parts of the country, the only option outside of flying. But with few security procedures in place, there’s been a recent influx of safety concerns on board some Via Rail trains, including attacks with weapons. As Megan Robinson reports in the first part of a Global News investigation, passengers and employees are often unknowingly at risk and one former service manager is speaking out.
