Coronavirus outbreak: Italy’s iconic tourist sites sit empty amid virus concerns

Various tourist sites in Italy sat seemingly empty on Monday, as ongoing concerns over the COVID-19 virus continue. In the capital Rome, tourist hot spots were emptying out with central Piazza Navona and the Colosseum becoming eerily quiet. Elsewhere in Europe, people are trying to avoid physical contact with others with France advising people stop kissing when they meet.
