Coronavirus outbreak: As China sees decrease in new cases, South Korea cases multiply

On the same day as China reported a sharp decrease in the number of new cases of COVID-19, South Korean health officials said Saturday that its tally had spiked to 229 new confirmed cases, bringing its total to 433. Officials also warned it could rise substantially following reports that more than 1,000 people attended a church at the centre of the country’s outbreak, and had shown flu-like symptoms. Iran also saw 10 new cases, one of which died, bringing its total to 28 cases and five deaths.
