What is lymphatic drainage?

Lymphatic drainage is a form of massage used to move excess fluid in the body called edema, also known as swelling. A lymphatic drainage begins and ends with a specialized massage treatment to the neck area, where all the lymphatic vessels come together to join the main vein going into the heart.
