Feds seeking to meet with Wet’suwet’en chiefs, community as early as Thursday night
Description
February 20, 2020
Canada's Minister of Indigenous Services, Marc Miller, said on Thursday that the government is seeking to meet with Wet'suwet'en chiefs and the community as early as Thursday night or perhaps Friday morning, in order to come to a resolution to halt the cross-country railway blockades. Demonstrators are blocking railways across Canada to protest in solidarity with the Wet'suwet'en, who oppose the Coastal GasLink pipeline that would run through their traditional territory in B.C.
