Conservative Party Leader Andrew Scheer said on Friday that he wants authorities to enforce court orders and injunctions that have been levied against protesters who have set up rail blockades in solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs who oppose the Coastal GasLink pipeline’s construction. He said he does not want to see escalation and stressed by enforcing the law now, authorities could prevent further escalation.
