Heavy snow blanketed many parts of Nova Scotia on Wednesday, forcing the closure of schools, transportation services and businesses in Halifax and the surrounding area, local media reported. Environment Canada stated that Halifax was under a snowfall warning, with a forecast of 20-35 cm of snow and possible winds up to 70 km/h.
