Timer malfunction causes Boeing Starliner capsule to fail first mission

Although Boeing’s Starliner space capsule had a successful first launch on Friday, a timer malfunction that caused the spaceship to burn too much fuel meant that it would not make it to the International Space Station. NASA said that the capsule will instead return to Earth on Sunday.
