Pope Francis ends ‘pontifical secrecy’ in abuse probes

Pope Francis announced on Tuesday that the rule of “pontifical secrecy” that previously dealt with the handling of sensitive information was abolished, one of a set of sweeping changes to the way the Roman Catholic Church deals with cases of sex abuse of minors.
