SNL cold open parodies relationships among major world leaders in ‘NATO cafeteria’

The Dec. 7 cold open of Saturday Night Live featured comedians, including James Corden and Jimmy Fallon, portraying political leaders eating lunch at the “NATO cafeteria,” shunning U.S. President Donald Trump (portrayed by Alec Baldwin) from sitting at their table framed in the imaginary scenario. The skit parodied the current state of relationships among major world leaders, including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, U.S. President Donald Trump, U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
