Beachgoers in the Canary Islands joined forces with Red Cross emergency workers after a boat carrying two dozen migrants landed unexpectedly at Aguila beach on Friday. Both groups acted quickly by providing food, water, warmth, and comfort to the migrants, who were from northern and sub-Saharan Africa. Over 27,000 migrants have arrived in Spain this year.
