A koala that was badly hurt by Australian wildfires was rescued by a passerby on Tuesday. Rescuer Toni Doherty said that ‘Lewis’ has a long recovery ahead, but is now safe and in good hands at a local koala hospital in Port Macquarie. Several wildfires continue to burn in New South Wales, Australia, and emergency warnings have been issued within the state.
