Lynn Zimmer reflects on 35 years with the YWCA

She helped found one of North America’s first shelters for victims of domestic violence: Interval House in Toronto in 1973, but it was the YWCA of Peterborough Haliburton that would benefit from 35 years of her direction, action and motivation.

Lynn Zimmer retires at the end of November. Lindsay Biscaia finds out what it meant to Lynn to be so entrenched in a career of care, concern and focus.
