Dozens of local athletes laced up their sneakers Thursday to take part in the Special Olympics basketball qualifier at St. Peter’s Catholic Secondary School.
Thirty teams from schools across the region competed in the hopes of moving on to the provincial championship next year.
Katrina Squazzin was at the event and had a chance to chat with some of the competitors.
