A Liberal MP is stoking an old idea about connecting Newfoundland and Labrador to mainland Canada. During the federal election campaign, Seamus O’Regan promoted a fixed link, arguing the symbol of nation building would improve tourism and affordability on the East Coast. But as Ross Lord reports, critics say the price isn’t worth the pay off.
