Federal Election 2019: Scheer says Conservatives would clear backlog on veteran benefits, change pensions

Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer announced Sunday in Canoe Cove, P.E.I. if elected, The Conservative Party would put in place a “military covenant” ensuring veterans receive services from federal officials in a “timely manner,” would mandate they clear the backlog on benefit applications and make changes to pensions, as well as strengthen post-service support.
