Vahen King leads panel on hope and hopelessness
At age 23, Vahen King developed Transverse Myelitis, a virus that left her physically disabled. Despite the fears and insecurities, she moved forward in her life.
In 2017 she was crowned the first ever Miss Wheelchair Canada.
She is bringing her “Igniting Hearts With Hope” to Peterborough where she was raised. The Edmonton resident will be sharing her motivational story and holding a question-and-answer discussion at the Pastor of Calvary Church at 1421 Lansdowne St. W.
The event runs Thursday, Sept. 5 starting at 7:30 p.m. She appeared on Global News Morning Peterborough on Wednesday to share some of her inspirational story.
