Flanked by her U.S. and Mexican counterparts, 16-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg said on Aug. 30 that she would continue to pressure United Nations member states to act on climate change. Thunberg, who arrived in Manhattan on Aug. 28 after a two-week journey from the United Kingdom on a zero-carbon-emissions sailboat, met with U.N. General Assembly President María Fernanda Espinosa.

Flanked by her U.S. and Mexican counterparts, 16-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg said on Aug. 30 that she would continue to pressure United Nations member states to act on climate change. Thunberg, who arrived in Manhattan on Aug. 28 after a two-week journey from the United Kingdom on a zero-carbon-emissions sailboat, met with U.N. General Assembly President María Fernanda Espinosa.
