A group of around 80 Central American migrants waiting for their asylum claims to be processed in the United States opted to return to their home countries, on July 30. Migrants from countries such as Honduras and Guatemala have been sent to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. U.S. asylum cases often take months, or even years, to be decided due to a backlog of immigration court cases.
